Enrichment Camps and Day Camps

Summer Day Camps and Enrichment Camps
Day camps are offered for rising K-5th graders in one-week sessions at Decatur Recreation Center and Ebster Recreation Center. Enrichment "E" Camps are offered six weeks of the City Schools of Decatur summer break.

This information is provided to help parents make better-informed decisions about the camp they select.

Day Camps are designed to promote individual development through play, field trips and relationships with peers and counselors.

Day Camps:

  • Are offered five weeks of the summer.
  • Are open 8:00 a.m.-4 p.m. with after-care available until 6 p.m.
  • Offer a range of camp activities each day including arts and crafts, group games, outdoor activities, swimming, snacks, and weekly field trips.
  • Organize each session around a theme, but do not program exclusively around the theme.
  • Can be most beneficial when children attend for a succession of weeks - providing the opportunity to build stronger relationships with counselors and peers.
  • Include Camp Sycamore (rising grades K-3) and iDiscover Camp (rising grades K-5).

Reading Recipe Enrichment "E" Camps:
